COMMON FILM OBJECTIONS CONFRONTED.

"All film fades and
turns purple.." Our films are lifetime warrantied to never fade
or turn purple or they will be replaced free of charge.

"Film darkens a room"
Madico films can be as light or as dark as you want them to be, with
over 30+ films you're sure to like something.

"Metallized films are
too reflective" Again our films can be as reflective or non reflective
as you like.

"Screens work better"
WRONG! screens are mesh, therefore cannot catch the full spectrum
of the suns heat, screens don't block as much UV, and they don't carry
a lifetime warranty (usually 5 years).

"It's too expensive"
Film avg price right now is $6 - $9/sq ft. At that price studies have
been done to show that you will save what you spent on film in 1-4
years, after that you're making money, all the while saving energy,
preventing fading, and being more comfortable.

"Film breaks glass"
Here's a shocker....that's a myth! Well, ok it's not like the lochness
monster myth, but . . . when film was first coming around, a lot of
glass did break, and today it still happens rarely. The reason for
this is extensive but in a nutshell it happens because people use
films with high heat absorption on dual pane glass. Dark films absorb
more heat than the window can handle, thus breakage and seal failure.
We only use films that are dual pane safe on dual pane windows, and
we back up our installations. Madico not only warranties the film,
but also YOUR GLASS! |

This list came about because we answer the same questions day after
day, (and we LOVE answering questions about film), but I wonder how
many people don't even call because of these "myths". The
home window film is very unknown to most people. My job is to educate
you as my customer so that you can make an informed decision.
If film wont fade or turn purple, out performs other options, pays
for itself, and makes your home energy efficient, more safe and more
comfortable, then why wouldn't you do it? Easy! Film is guaranteed
to improve if not eliminate all of these problems. Give
